“Story is our only boat for sailing on the river of time.”

Ever look back over photos of loved ones who have passed on and longed to hear their voice? Or desired to keep a record of your own lived experiences and hard won wisdom to pass onto and speak to  future generations? The Story Ark helps you capture audio of these treasured stories now, before they are lost forever.

History has shown us how often those stories are lost; lost to death, and to the mental and physical decline that inevitably touches us all.

The Story Ark is a service for recording and collecting those stories.

In the absence of these recordings, we will lose these stories before it has occurred to us that they are treasures to be collected and kept;  before we’ve realized that they are invaluable and irreplaceable.

How it Works

It’s simple — we come to your home, or that of your loved one, to record audio of their voice, telling their stories. Our intimate unobtrusive audio  recording equipment captures the best quality sound, then we edit and deliver to you in a format that is easy to consume and to share, ensuring your loved one’s voice is available to  you for generations to come.

Why We Love Audio

For all the technological advances meant to engender and facilitate connection, what we’ve come to find is that nothing is  more intimate than audio.

Video is universal, audio is personal.

We’re in the midst of an audio renaissance - podcasts, streaming, audiobooks — because whatever distance or time might separate us, and whatever technology we might create to conquer that sense of separation, what we have circled back to is that audio is the most enduringly direct connection we’ve yet to conjure.
